I bought this sign at Lowes
It just fit my coop perfectly
Can anyone translate it for me
Valley of the Rooster (cock)
Alarm clock with the rooster (cock)
I'd say Valley of the Rooster.
The second is "Awake with the rooster" or "Time of the rooster".
Gallo is also a northern region/town of Italy and a common last name.
It means " Valley Of The Rooster "
Why do you say Southern?
and svegli(o) is awake-not svegli(a)
Wake up with the Rooster
Quote:I edited it out but "del" can mean southern too.
Svegli is awake as well as sveglia.
This is all based on context, region, dialect. Translation software is limited,
not to mention my Italian.
Ahah purple-edited "southern" out
I agree purple-there are a variety of translations. At least the OP can be assured that they are not giving off some strange message to Italians!
It means "Lick a rooster's vent"
