My mother was a contributing writer for Highlight's magazine for many years. Not sure if they still make Highlight's, since I don't have kids, but she would contribute stories to the directly to the editor. Now if you are looking to publish an actual book, for profit, I have no idea. I honestly don't remember if my mother got paid for her Highlight's stories or not, it was many years ago. Good luck!

How did I miss this post? Sorry.

Local library should have the current edition of WRITERS MARKET.
    Probably your best bet.

You'll find a few magazines that list the market changes but I always
    liked Writers Market.

Yes, I would like to see a first chapter if I may. Easier if I PM you my e-mail?

I'd love to read the chapter. You can email it through my link.

I just noticed yesterday that Amazon has a publishing site, but have no way of knowing if it's good or not.
