Any suggestions for a big dog and electric fence?

we have 31 acres. The chain he is attached to goes to about 150ft radius.( we have 3 50' cables connected.) He gets plenty of exercise. Which includes ball tossing, frisbees, stick throwing, plus running around with my other dog (at the dog park and at home.) We also have barn cats that run around and play with him. I was trying to find helpful tips to help him get used to the electric fence since I have never had one. I am grateful for all the input, I just need him to get used to the fence, like I said before, I know miracles aren't going to happen in 4 days, but I just wanted to make sure what we were doing was leading him into the right direction for him to understand the fence.

As a dog trainer I'm just trying to give you info that will HELP with the training. The dog has to be in the right frame of mind before it can be trained. It needs a job and Real exercise. He is frolicking and playing. Not Real mental activity right? Just trying to help. IMO some discipline and training need to be done.

Maybe I am not understanding correctly, and if I am not I apologize. His job has always been to protect us and be a watch dog, which he is good at. Besides being a dog that fetches things, that is the only "job" I can think of that he does.

The reason for the questions is to get an idea if what you're working with. I've never trained a dog over the internet so it's different. Lol. Try thinking of his daily routine had it been born wild because that's what drives him. He doesn't have to hunt for it's food, probably doesn't have burglars or bad guys to chase like a police dog, doesn't find stranded hikers etc. A pack of wolves can travel like 40 miles in a day to hunt. This takes concentration and they're not frolicking/playing while doing it. Challenging mentally and physically. Playing fetch is good for their soul and can be a good partial stimulation but they really need a job.

Walks are not fast or stimulating enough because the k9's natural gate is like 4 times faster than ours so our erosion of walking on a leash is like us walking next to a crawling baby. I use a bycicle or treadmill.
