Any thoughts about this Turkey

    Olden posted better pic of the "fizzle" turkey. He's crazy looking. AND they got the hatching eggs from Porter. The mystery continues......

    Oldhen would it be possible to get closer up pictures of the primairies on the wings. The 8-10 long feathers on the outside the wing?

    I'll have a go at him tomorrow, the thing is the wing feathers are normal except for the ends, they are a bit ratty. I will see what I can do, thanks.

    I think they want to look at banding and little things that would just go over my head.. The guys there are turkey nerds and really know their stuff.. I can tell you they seem very excited about your Tom.... Did you say you wanted to trade him for a normal one???? [​IMG]

    Have you been looking there Memphis?

    They seem to think it is same gene mutation that causes silkies in chickens.

    Yea. Did you tell them he's from a Porter egg? She got the hatching eggs from Kevin. I think he's uber cool looking.

    Oldhen...if it's too cold there for him....he can come live down here...:)
