any thoughts as to breed/sex on this 'un?

this is a shelter chicken i keep checkin' on (that is i keep checking the computer to see if it's still at the shelter).

any thoughts as to what kind of chicken this might be and if it is a roo or a hen? the shelter says "roo" but they are frequently wrong about the birds in their care in general.

I'm no expert but the first looks like a buff orpington and I couldn't see the saddle or tail feathers to positively identify the gender of any of these birds.

The second looks like a dominique roo maybe...

The third is a frizzle.

I agree with LynnGrigg on the breeds, and I'd say
the first two pics are definitely roos as I see the presence of saddle feathers.

The first one looks like the picture of the chicken that I had in question as to the gender. Mine is a buff orphinton RIR and OEGB cross. The father was a mix but I would definatly say that it has some orphington in it. Not to sure on the gender but it does look like a roo.
The second definatly a roo.
I think the third is a hen.

I vote 3 roosters. The first one is not a Buff Orp, at least, not a pure one. There is some definite barring/crele coloration going on there. The second is possible a Dominique or a cross of one. The third is some kind of frizzle.

No clue on the third but the first is a roo, he looks like some sort barred breed crossed with a buff something.

The second is a roo, he's a dominique crossed with something. His comb is wrong to be pure Dominique, he should have a rose comb.
