Anybody know about air compressors?

Selling one.. and it's an oldie from The United States Air Compressor Company... it's a cast iron beast, takes 3 men and a donkey to move... once the electric motor burned out I started using my smaller one. This is one I got from my dad, who got it from an old farmer who............................................................

I know its dirty n rough but here's some pics

It needs a 5hp electric motor (2 stage) which I know is an arm and a leg, but what do you think the compressor is worth without the electric motor?

You might get 100 if your lucky. I'd look for a gasoline engine first. Then you could really come out ok.

Wow, a 3 cylinder single stage compressor. Yeah, it's old alright.

I'd Ebay the pump only. The tank is useless.


I'm not sure why you would need a 2 stage motor. I'm not even sure what is meant by a 2 stage motor.

What are you doing selling an air compressor......I thought you were at the hospital having the baby.

if it's really that heavy, do like the other poster said and sell the compressor separately......sell the tank by the pound for scrap iron
