Hello. Does anybody know how to make a chicken jacket? You know how they have sheep blankets? For when they are MOLTING cold weather.
    Thanks for any replies.

Just wondering why would these be necessary? Never had to clothe my birds here in the North.

Do you put little wing- holes in so they are not confined in little chicken straightjackets?

Well, that way they wouldn't just have all that exposed skin to the cold. No, no chicken straitjackets!

I just use fleece to make my saddles, but it's for the girls that the roos have picked out as favorites. [IMG] It's just a 7x7" square with the corners rounded, and 3" slits for the wings. You can even pin little strips of elastic from front to back along the side to slip under their legs, but if you get it just right you don't need it. I have 3 hens that were completely bare from the roos... they have "stubble" under the saddles now. [IMG]
