anyone else hatching may 1st

    I just set eggs last night
    In the happy bator I have
    6 pyncheons
    8 araucanas
    10 langshan

    Anyone want to hatch with me?

    I have some ducks that should be pipping through about the 2nd.

    They are indeed Miss_Jayne's ducks. Her chicks should be peeping out the 27th. Her eggs took FOREVER to get to me.

    I think the post was having a week last week Jody sent me eggs on Mon they got to me on Fri.

    exactly 42 to fit my turner
    At least this time I'm not hovering over the eggs, constantly writing down temp & humidity. I have them in a 1588, so it's not like they need that much attention.

    I set 11 of the tee-tinest...size A Serama eggs last night too! Slid them under the best 'bator money can buy....a sweet tiny broody Serama hen. [​IMG]

    If all goes well, I should be seeing 6 fluffer butts running around on the 2nd.

    This is my first go at hatching, and I'm going the route of letting my broody Japanese banty girl foster hatch the eggs (I don't have a bater). My daughter's sitter's grand-daughter (follow that? hehe) has some bantys and they're not broody enough to sit on the eggs.

    Hmm... you know, I have no idea what type of chicken they'll be - or if they'll be mutts. I need to ask what momma hen and daddy roo are.

    Do ya'll just sit back and read posts like mine and shake your head... then just wanna [​IMG] people like me. [​IMG]
