My husband and I signed up tonight for the race in June. We are 40 and, ahem, a little out of shape. . . So, treadmill all winter, get to running up and down our ridge all spring, work on some upper body strength and it will be a breeze! Oh my, anyone else ever done this? Edited to add, I announced this to my family and several family members have added on, I see this as a great family and fitness event, I am sooooo out of shape now. Don't get me wrong, I till, garden, haul chicken feed, etc, I'm no wimp, just not in "race" shape.
