I've been looking for a while. The person near me that had marans bantams got rid of all their chickens, so I am still looking.

None found in US in Welsummer Bantams but it would be a start [IMG]

As for Maran bantams, I did remember seeing them on Eggbid but their eggs were not terribly dark but more like the Barred Rock brown eggs. With a few more generations, I am certain they will put out darker eggs.

I dont think anyone here on BYC has those bantams....good luck finding them!

Thank you for the reply. I know they are not common. The thing is that I knew someone in British Coloumbia that had them. It is only a few miles away, so close and yet because of the border, so far. It is not worth it to illegally smuggle eggs in since our government takes these sorts of infractions much more seriously than they have in the past, but if anyone knows the import, or show, laws let me know. It might be worth trying to bring a pair across legally.

If anyone is interested, eggbid currently has a couple of buttercup bantam pullets listed.
