Anyone had baby born with raw spot on back? Like yest it was RED, toda

    today it isnt as red and looks to be getting a little more flesh colored, but theres NO feathers on that little tuft on his back...he/she does look a little bit smaller then the rest and ive only seen it twice...it doesnt NEARLY stay "out" of momma's wings for long at all but i'm sure its b/c it gets cold easier? Anyone? This is my 1st hatch so ive never seen ANYthing before [​IMG] he doesnt "appear" to be weak?

    I have had a few chicks like that, but they grew into some nice birds. Here is a pic of one, but you can't see the bald spot. He is healthy though...

    ah! thank you! that makes me feel a little better...it does look to be healing nice so thats a good thing...it almost looked BURNT? Weird!

    interesting...now i NEED to find out what causes this? did yours live as well and do ok? he/she's still doing ok..a little louder than the others but???
