We got two turkeys last spring, one of which died early on and the other which is now huge and won best of show at the county fair. It is a female with a great personality. When we first got them, we were going to eat them. That was their purpose. But after reading up on this heritage breed, and finding we have a really good one, we would like to be able to breed her instead. Problem is all the hatcheries want us to buy at least 12 turkeys and we just don't have room for that many even for a few months until we could butcher. Any help out there?
