(She grew a bit more since these pics were taken, and her comb I bigger)
She looks so similar!(She grew a bit more since these pics were taken, and her comb I bigger)
Indeed! Wonder what caused it. Like, if they are the same mixed breed, how come mine is an EE?She looks so similar!
If someone made a cross using a Cream Legbar grandparent, it would be easy for the for the blue egg gene to be passed down to some chicks and not others, and the same for the crest and various other features. So getting two that look alike but lay different colors of eggs would not be too surprising, depending on what other breeds are in the mix.Indeed! Wonder what caused it. True... Interesting how they look so alike. If someone made a cross using a Cream Legbar grandparent, it would be easy for the for the blue egg gene to be passed down to some chicks and not others, and the same for the crest and various other features. That makes a good deal of sense. We bred a white silkie with that black and white hen and got all sorts of variations. Some were full silkies, some looked almost identical to mom, some were a in between mix.If someone made a cross using a Cream Legbar grandparent, it would be easy for the for the blue egg gene to be passed down to some chicks and not others, and the same for the crest and various other features.
