Ive got a degree in biology and minor bio-chemistry so Ive gotta very very good base for genetics I studied reptile and mouse genetics in school mostly i just need a good primer for chicken and turkey colors and patterns
i didnt do much for breeding in the past just let the birds do what they want lol
now ive got a son who wants to show so i better figure out how to breed lol

tooooo funny. I had a genetics question earlier and was thinking the same thing. Tim and Suze are always good to answer my questions but I'm sure they get tired of the "same things over and over"....a good "laymans" manual on genetics would be wonderful!!

Has anyone read The Mating and Breeding of Poultry by Hary M Lamon and Rob R Slocum? Is it a good reference to have?
