Clivias are beautiful blooming plants native to South Africa and other areas of the southern continent of Africa. The Chinese and Japanese have wonderful plants as well. I would really like to be able to talk with someone who grows them. I have asked the nursery owners around here about them but they are clueless. I have many plants but still need advice growing them. My chicken coops are in the shade and surrounded by clivia plants. They like shade and dry soil.
My DH travels a lot and brought my first plants and seeds from a grower in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
If anyone out there knows about them, holler back!

You should join our sister site, TheEasyGarden (find a link at the bottom of any BYC web page), and ask your question there. [IMG]
