Hi, there is a guy on my local craigslist selling Malaysian Serama bantams for $20 a chick.

Is this appropriate? How much do they normally run?

That is appropriate. My friends friend bought some for $200 a pair so that sounds about right. She was willing to sell them to me for $100 a pair. And they are not prolific, the hens hardly layed any eggs in the summer and spring and never layed anything in the winter and fall.

Oh my gosh. Well then. I won't be eating that one for dinner. J/K!

depends on lines, i do 10.00 on chicks, more on started and grown birds.. and sell culls as just pets for 5.00 each --not for breeding.... here local, ask them where their stock is from, as most people will want to know. and if you are breeding you will want and need to know yourself..
