Wondering if anyone could help me identify my little day old chick. I went to pick up my little day old polishes and RIR bantam and when I was there the breeder told me she had a little Pekin with a wonky beak that looked as though she may develop scissor beak and would give her to me with the others as she wanted her to have a good life and be part of a little flock. I was happy to take her and look after her, but when the breeder bought her out to me she had a good look at her and wondered whether she was a Maran that had jumped into the wrong brooder with the Pekin but wasn’t sure.
I have some bigger girls anyway (australorp, olive eggers) so this is not a problem to me at all and I was still more then happy to take her and give her a happy life, I guess I just am curious if anyone knows what she is! Plus if she’ll be okay for me to raise alongside my 3 smaller chicks if she is bigger! They will all be in together once these babies have grown but don’t want her to bully the little ones until then!
She’s probably the biggest chick at the moment but not by much, and all are smaller then chicks I’ve had in the past! She also seems to have feathers down her legs if that helps.
I don’t know much about chicken breeds and will love her either way just am curious about what to expect :)
She’s the top chick in the last photo too

Looks like a Wheaten Marans.

Agreed. Though I wonder if they're mixed.
Hi, my chick is now around 6 months, is she looking like a pure marans? If so what would her colour be called? Either way I don’t mind as she is the sweetest little pullet but am just curious :)

I don't really think I'd say she's mixed, but she's definitely nowhere near what they should look like.

Let's see what @MysteryChicken thinks.

Her upper beak needs trimmed.

Her color looks somewhat like that of a Buff Brahma, so I'm wondering if she was crossed with Brahma at some point.

There still maybe a chance she could be pure, but just showing poor color quality.
