Anyone have any ideas to what kind of hen this is? She showed up one day at my coop and was wild so I didnt really welcome her and a few days later she re-appeared and layed an egg outside my coop. After her not leaving and me not wanting a coyote or hawk to get her I decided to bring her in to the flock and she has fit right in for the most part. She lays a large creamy colored egg daily and os really pretty when she opens up her tail. I am thinking some sort of game hen but not sure...any ideas???

Its hard to say if shes a banty, her body is small as far as like her carriage but tail is huge and she lays a large egg. Who knows how long she was out on her own before deciding to stay here so she is very smart and has the ability to survive in the wild. She kept coming around and laying an egg outside of my coops everyday so finally I opened up the coop and she ran in and now free ranges with my birds and never has left. She can be a little aggressive to the Silkies but other than that she fits in nicely.
