    I call him Pontius. He's my head rooster. Does anyone know what kind he is? I've had my ideas. But I can't decide.

    Am I seeing FIVE toes on him? If so, I really don't know. . . Some sort of crossbreed.

    Yup 5 toes. I've never seen it before. I got him from McMurray Hatchery and they said he was purebred.

    He's still a baby:) Around 5 months. Grrr thats not nice. Where am I supposed to get purebred chickens?

    I would not say that hatchery stock are not purebred, just that they are not bred for quality. Hatcheries breed for quantity, and really don't worry about meeting the standard; they are concerned with meeting customer orders.
