Anyone Know What This Is?

Hi all. So I have a 3-year-old Lavender Orpington named Jennie who has had bowel issues basically her whole life. She’s currently being treated for inflamed intestines (the vet thinks she basically has chicken IBS) which caused diarrhea and a fungal infection on her bum/abdomen area.
These issues never really caused her any issues but I still wanted to treat it. The swelling has gone down recently and her feathers are starting to grow back.
But today when I went to check her, I noticed this weird little pimple on her skin. It almost looks like maybe an ingrown feather or something? It isn’t painful for her since I poked and prodded at it and she didn’t even blink.
But if it needs to be treated I definitely wanna get ahead of it. Anyone seen anything like this before or know what it is?

It does look like an ingrown feather. The white, pimple head looking thing looks like the feather trying to erupt. Can you lance it and see if you can get it out? They can get infected. Then clean up the area and spray with something like Veterycin.

I was just wondering, since I have two hens with a bottom just like your hen.

The only difference is that they don’t have any feathers on their neck either….No one has helped me figure out what is wrong with my hens😢
My hens have had this for over 10 months!!! The only advice I have gotten was that their feathers would grow back….

Pictures? Have you checked for mites/lice? What do you feed? How much protein?

I feed them Dumor 16% crumble, they free range, I change their water everyday, 24/7 access to grit and oyster shell.

I give them mealworms as a treat.

Last year I thought it was lice, since I saw some, but I treated them with DE and manna pro spray for months. I thought I cured them if the lice.

A few of my hens have lice again 🙄 So I’ve been using manna pro lice spray some DE and have been clipping the few lice eggs from their feathers.

Btw last month I treated them for worms with ivermectin. It worked, and some people have told me it would help with lice too

Do you have any advice on how to go about doing that? I’ve never dealt an ingrown feather and would hate to make it worse. I was considering just giving her an epsom salt bath since I know that helps with ingrown toenails on people.
