It looks good. I would change out the chicken wire on the windows for hardware cloth. Your chickens should be very happy..

Quote:Well, sorry to argue, but that chicken wire is all we have, and the girls love to look out the windows, and they have been tested. Nothing can break it. The two little girls loooooooove our coop.
We've had the coop for two years. Our girls absolutly love our coop.
    thanks for the words!

Quote:Agreed. Chicken wire is known for letting things in and keeping chickens in. One good attack from a raccoon and in gose the raccoon and in stays the birds. Happened to my couise she lost half her flock becuase her chicken wire didn't hold up at all. The same kind you have on your windows is what she had.

Other then that you have a cute little coop

Are you asking for advice or just wanting people to tell you how cute it is?

Hardware cloth on the windows is what I'd do. Everything else looks great from what I can see!

Raccoons can pull apart chicken wire with their paws very quickly. You can see through hardware cloth- I recommend the 1/2 inch stuff. Home Depot or Lowe's would have it.

Sper cute. I do agree stapled on hardware cloth won't stop a raccoon.

A cute picture frame window with hardware cloth between the wall and frame will help keep rodents and racoon's out. A rodent can get thru chicken wire. I have seen rats climb the side wall of my fathers grain bin which is a straight steel wall!

I wanted advice and i got it. Thanks!
Our cage has been surrounded by cinder blocks, and it's like a gate, and we really don't see coons much, as my dog always rules the outside and chases coons, and 'marks' her territory.
Thanks everyone for the advice on the coop.
This may seem like a dumb question, but what is hardware cloth exactly?
Sorry for the stupid question... [IMG]
