I have weekly hatches going for my lavender orp project and am culling all chicks that hatch black. They are project birds, so could be straight black or split black. Type is unknown as these are our first offspring from these breeding pens, so I will consider them pet quality at this time, since I cannot assess them yet.

Chicks are black in color and straight run (unsexed), from brown egg layers. $2 each

Pickup only in Slatington PA 18080.

Yes, they aren't needed for my breeding project, so they have to go. Hopefully someone else could use some black chicks.

Man, I wish I was closer. Your birds are beautiful, and I would love some pretty black chicks......Texas to eastern PA, what two days there and two back.....hmmmmmm

dh came in while I was typing this, I showed him your project roos and he said "even if I'd drive two days to pick up chicks, I wouldn't want to drive two days back with them in the car, that's just crazy". But, the good part is, instead of a "we don't need no more stinkin' chickens", he actually let the thought pass through his brain. I love my guy!

I am waiting for you to cull all the eggs you don't have room for in your incubators and when your brooders are over flowing with chicks. [IMG]
