I have a daughter in need of help. Her female and male turtles bred. (didn't realize they were opposite sexes). Anyway, she can't find any help on how to help the female with the egg laying or any of that. These are painted water turtles, if that helps.

Hi there! I've breed several species of turtle, and here's an awesome care sheet (and website) I've used before. I hope this helps your daughter out.

I did notice the sheet doesn't seen to have instructions on how to set up a nesting area, so you'll need to do that. Really the best thing is to make available a place for the female to come out and dig in a slightly damp (not wet) soil or sand.

If you need anymore help, feel free to pm me or post here! I'm pretty well-connected in the reptile world, and what I don't know, I can find out! [IMG]

Have forwarded the website to her. Thanks for the info. Hopefully it will give her what she needs to know. Thanks again!
