I absent-mindedly went out to the coop yesterday am to let the girls out in my bathrobe and a pair of boots. After about 20 minutes of poking around, I thought "Hmmm - feels a little chilly this morning" and went back to the house - checked the temp and it was 18 degrees! Guess its time to dig out the boots and gloves [IMG]

My first time with chickens and I have noticed how much easier it is to clean frozen poop off of everything compared to warmer temps![IMG]

I have been cleaning the frozen bits of processed hen feed for weeks now. Much nicer than freshly dropped summer stinkers.
