I just received some Pin-Less Peepers (10 for $5.50). There are no instructions but they look pretty straight forward. My question is; has anyone tried them and do they hurt the chicken? The gap looks like it would cut into the membrane that separates the nostrils.
I did not purchase the tool that separates the device but I have one in the garage that looks like the same thing.
    Any advise would be appreciated.

If you do a search you'll find a bunch of info on this site. I drop mine in hot (almost boiling) water to soften, and put them on by hand.

Hey, a little callus on the membrane is probably better than a pin through their nose.

    That's just my opinion [IMG]

Plus, presumably if a chicken were to fly into wire or something and get hung up, the pinless peepers could come off but the pin model would leave them hanging by their beak ...
