My chickens have had 2 bouts with the northern red mites and I feel I need to do something more then what I am doing as preventative. I dust my girls with DE and their boxes and coop. Each time I was able to get rid of them without much hassel. Anyways, I noticed that several of the chicken suppliers sell mite tags and was wondering if anyone on byc has used them and how well did it work?

Hi, Are you talking about the Die-no-mite pest strips?
I ordered some from Smith Poultry & so far,so good. I've had them in the nest boxes for a few months, no buggers yet. [IMG] Smith was the cheapest I could find, 14.00 for 20. [IMG]

No, they are tags you attach to their wings. Guess they must not be popular because no one is posting. Thanks for your info bayouchica.
