So the original plan was that we weren't going to get chicks until they came in at the end of the month but hubby went to buy dog food and brought home 6 furry lil chicks. They are assorted bantams. Does anyone have any idea what kind they are? I never posted pics on here so I hope this work. I'm going to include a front and back view.

Could the feathered-leg cuties be Cochins?

    They certainly are cute!

Yes thanks they are cute lol

I was thinking maybe they were Cochin too. The ones with no feathers on their legs I have no idea what they could be.

I'm almost positive the first one is a silver sebright, the others I'm not so sure... maybe buff brahmas? [IMG]

I'm new to Bantam breeds myself...but my husband brought 4 home today as a surprise.

I posted pics on a thread and was told that the one that looks like your last one is called a "Golden Sebright". I was happy. It' looks like a very pretty grown hen...from what I've googled.

    Good Luck!!! [IMG]

I'm guessing that 2 of the feather legs are D'Uccles.

Huh thanks for taking a guess at them. Be nice if they are them, they all look like pretty birds. Now how big will bantams get, about a pound? I know they are much smaller than standard.
