Appears to be Extreme Splay Leg or Worse

We have a 10 day old chicks and within the second half of those 10 days, little guy was showing signs of some very bad leg formations. They were a chick that struggled to hatch and well past hatching day the chick was still in there and unable to get out. My wife slowly and carefully attempted to help him out successfully but he was very slow to develop. We have purchased splay leg braces and they are just not appearing to help. Even in the brace or a bandage cut to create one he is sticks his leg far out. Any suggestions? Picture shows the chick with the brace on and it still pulls far away. He is still eating and drinking like the others but we just don't know what to do to help at this point

We did that first and it just pulled far away. Basically straight out. We now have the brace on and its been a day and it doesn't seem to be improving, not sure. Not sure how much time it takes. Just getting nervous.

Thinking a possible twisted femur, which is only fixable with surgery. It's high risk in birds.
