7 appenzeller barthuhner chicks two weeks old. our stock came directly from greenfire farms. this is a great chance to get started with a very rare breed and to also help preserve this rare breed. we also have a 1 year old breeding pair available. local pickup only we decided to expand our Swedish flower hen flock and need more room. so we would like to rehome our 7 chicks and 1year old breeding pair will take $70 for the whole flock also have a couple of eggs in incubator now that you can have that are due to hatch on 3/10. we are located in eastern pa. 18235

Hi, I am raising partridge Appenzeller Barthuhners and I have an array of chicks and juveniles available for sale. I am NPIP and located in Alabama. I bought the original imported stock from GFF last September which consisted of one breeding group from Germany and another from Belgium. Additionally, I purchased a breeding pair from an individual who had gotten chicks from GFF early last year. Since GFF used straight line breeding and had issues with cross beak I decided to switch the roosters and see if this would help with that defect. It has worked beautifully and I now have juvenile hens which I am in the process of incorporating back into the breeding groups. I am going to try and use spiral breeding since the gene pool from which to breed is so limited. It is my hope to encourage more people to work with this breed and get it well established in the US. Hi. I'm looking for hatching eggs. I can possibly take chicks or juveniles but it is getting hot where I am so I would have to wait until September. Do you have any barthuhner eggs available?
