At 3 weeks they don't need anything other than chick starter. Some people will give them garlic, molasses, and ACV, but not until they are grown.

Can I ask what the purpose of giving these things to them at this age is suppose to be?

I heard garlic was one of those tastes that they won't eat when they are older if not started younger due to it's 'odd' taste so to start them young. It's a natural de-wormer, repels fleas, and and and... AVC is awesome for boosting their immune systems and helping with digestion. It is antibiotic, antifugal, antiviral, antiyeast etc. Just plain good for you probiotics - just like yogurt - lots of healthy little enzymes! (Just like with us!) I am talking about the good organic apple cider vinegar with the mother. It also contains important trace minerals and vitamins that chicks need like B2 (ribovlavin) As far as the black strap... not sure if it's just the extra minerals and vitamins.. or if it helps 'hide' the taste of the others? not sure
I know there are lots that totally believe in giving them first thing.. as well as mild teas for their first waters. They have said it helps with pasty butt and mortality rates, ect. We are huge AVC and Kombucha drinkers here.. dog, cats, kids and adults take them daily so I jumped on the apple cider vinegar the first water I gave my feathered babies as well.. just haven't done the others yet as I was unsure about the how much or how.

I use ACV, garlic and DE with all of my critters, just not so young. Good information. Thanks for sharing.

My chicks are 12 weeks old now and I've put ACV in their water from the minute I brought them home. 1 Table. to gallon or 1 scant tea. to quart.
