Is it okay to give chicks finely chopped apples?
Yes. Or even halved/quartered ones, and let them do all the work!
Not too much, however, as you do not want to throw their nutrient levels off. Starter feed is good for chicks.
of course but as was said, let them do the work which gives them 'play time/recreation' too!
Thank you !
Is 1 chopped up apple every second day bad?
For how many chicks? For 2, probably too much. For 25, not too much.
Do you need to feed them grit with apples?
Grit is not needed if it is a minor component of their starter feed diet. In other words, if it's a "treat."
Thank you for the help
Reply to Stevetone ,1 apple for 12 chicks?
I think that's fine. They will LOVE it
