Apples

    Is it okay to give chicks finely chopped apples? [​IMG]

    Yes. Or even halved/quartered ones, and let them do all the work!

    Not too much, however, as you do not want to throw their nutrient levels off. Starter feed is good for chicks.

    of course but as was said, let them do the work which gives them 'play time/recreation' too!

    For how many chicks? For 2, probably too much. For 25, not too much.

    Do you need to feed them grit with apples?

    Grit is not needed if it is a minor component of their starter feed diet. In other words, if it's a "treat."
