This is my first post and most of you will probably get a chuckle from it. these two were sold to me as Aracauna pullets. Pictured here at 4months they are both crowing back and forth to each other morning and evening. I see the cheek tufts commonly attributed to the true Aracauna but look at the gorgeous tailsLol, not what I'm learning to be an Aracauna trait. So what do I have folks, some sort of mixed breed? And do only roosters crow?[IMG]

Aracauanas are rumpless, so you most likely have Easter Eggers. Older hens CAN crow if they really want to and if there is no other rooster around, but the coloring of those two say that they are both roosters.

Roosters, and Easter Eggers. They are muffed, not tufted - you can check the Araucana thread for examples of tufts.

You have Easter egger roosters. They're often mistakenly sold as Aracauna or Ameracuana.

Thank you, I think they are beautiful, but at 4 months very bossy!
