Last month I purchased 4 pullets from a breeder - 2 French cuckoo marans and 2 Araucana/Ameraucana mixes. The mixes hatched from blue eggs in a coop/run that had Araucana and Ameraucana show birds mixed together (she wasn't planning to let them breed but 2 of the hens went broody so she let them hatch their babies). I was wondering if you could tell me if either of them appear to be true Araucana or Ameraucanas, what color they are (if they are one), and if they do indeed appear to be pullets. They're around 11-12 weeks old now, and in my novice opinion appear to be girls, but since they are likely "Easter Eggers", then if they follow the EE color sexing guide, they've got male coloring. In the photos their face always look pink/red, but in person it's always been pale yellowy-pink. Here's the rumpless one at 6-7 weeks old when I first bought them: Here's the tailed one at 6-7 weeks: The two of them closer to 10 weeks: And a horrible picture of them now - they're now living in the coop separated from the rest of the flock by poultry netting so they can be integrated soon: Any info you can provide would be helpful!
