I know these arent the best pictures, but I was using DH camera phone to take these. This is my one and only chick that I got to hatch and was curious if its a little girl or a boy. She([IMG]) was born the first week in November.

It does look waaaay to red to be a pullet at about 10 weeks.

Maybe you can get better pics?
mine didn't get the *roo* saddle feathers until about 4 months [IMG]

I have 8 that are about the same age and I only have 2 that have combs that are smaller than that, and not red, so I am thinking I have 6 roos [IMG]

Sorry, I'm thinking roo too. But some of mine I couldn't tell until I started seeing boy feathers.

Yea the pictures werent turning out like I wanted them to. S/he kept moving and running away. And with the wind blowing soooo hard today, it was hard to get his tuffs looking right. I'll try to take some more pictures later and post them. Around what age do they start trying to crow? I had a RIR that I was 98% pos. was a roo until I saw with my own eyes she layed an egg. I just hope to get some more Araucanas soon to go with this little single one. [IMG]

All the other pix looks like a pullet. The last looks almost like a roo - if you could zoom in on the feathers that would help. I have gotten good at this............I can tell at 4 weeks now just tell me the breed!
