We got this guy free as a "rare breed" from McMurray. He's very handsome, but what breed is he?[IMG]

    He is an "Easter Egger"
They are easily mistaken for Araucanas or Ameraucanas.
A true araucana is rumpless, has two tufts and yellow legs.
A true ameraucana looks like your cock in the picture, except a different color.
    (Brown red,Wheaten,Blue,ect.)

He is the not so rare Easter Egger.

He is NOT a welsummer. This is a welsummer rooster:

Yep, definitely an EE. Araucanas, by U.S. and Canadian standards, are rumpless (missing their coccyx) and have ear tufts.

Is your boy debeaked? Or am I just seeing weird things? It looks like his mouth is open to crow, but he has half an upper mandible!

I can see his top beak. It just blends in really well with the background. If you squint, you can see it. [IMG]

Quote:Just has his mouth open. He has a few full beak. Me and my son have the marks to prove it. His name is Bing Crosby. He's a good singer but not nearly as nice as his namesake.
