Archery hunters, help with tree stands?!

I'm getting my bow next week, and next will be the stand. I'm short on cash, so I have to buy it as I can. Anyways, I've been peeking around at treestands when I get bored, but I'm just flabbergasted. There are some really cheap ones, but, how in the heck do you get them up in the trees? I need a portable one that I can put up as I get there. I need help in what I'm looking for. I've never used one, never checked on out, nothing. Help please!

Sounds like you need a climbing stand. The best one I have found is the Lone Wolf climber. It is very pricey but when it comes to trees stands safety and comfort are #1. Cabelas has them on their website.

we have the buck shot big shot . you can face the tree or away. they now call the Equalizer Tree stands. look them up.
