My father was told by orschlens and our local coop that they add something/medication (don't ask me what!) to all their poultry feeds except the wild gamebird feed. I'm not sure what it is or what it treats (again, second hand info (ranting) from my father!) But he said the guy at the coop said something to the effect of "well you want it because if your chickens ever got it, it's bad!". I know this is super grey, but does anyone know if there is a medically purposed additive in most feed? Not including medicated chick feed that openly says it on the bag. EDIT2: Orschlens got back to me and sent me the Country Lane 16% Layer Crumble Spec sheet.
