Are Black Eyed Susan's Poisonous?

I am going to plant around the run today and wanted to buy some Black eyed Susan's. SHould I buy Chamomile plants instead to be safe? Thanks so much!

Every morning I see goldfinches eating the seed heads on my rudbekia, depends on the animal?

We have a 3 month old puppy that eats them, along with coneflowers, bee balm and anything else she can get her teeth on and she doesn't seem to have been affected by them.

Well, I ended up planting some echinacea. Looks pretty and I figured it would be safe. Don't want them wandering aimlessly.

We've had black-eyed susan around for sometime now... My roo free ranges, and still no dead roo.
