Are you allowed to have chickens and roosters in san tan valley with a half an acre or more of land?
Probably the best place to check local ordinances is your town / city hall. You could also post on your state thread and ask there, as there may be some members close to you (type your state in the search box).
You may be able to find information online at your city or town hall, so you can check anonymously.

Don't know if you found your answer....San Tan Valley isn't incorporated, we're a census designated area. So, we're under what Pinal county determines. The bigger issue will more than likely be if you live in an HOA community or not. Some don't allow roosters, but you can have chickens & don't won't allow either. There could be a # limit too. I don't live in an HOA & many of us here have chickens & roosters...you can hear them "talking" when outside. Far as I can determine so far, nothing about limit or restrictions. Heck, guy down the street had several goats for a while.
Hope you enjoy the area & chicks.
