Are cochin roosters quiet?

I know crowing is inevitabe, but I personally don't mind 2 to 4 crows a day. My mom though, doesn't want ANY crows. Plus, no one knows we have chickens. We think one of our cochin chicks, Olive, is a cockerel. What are cochin roosters like? Do they crow quite a bit? Here "she" is a couple days ago.

I don't have Cochin roosters, but no rooster is only going to crow 2-4 times a day.

I guess that was pretty low. But crowing every 10 minutes all day wouldn't be acceptable. If it were all up to me we would still have our first cockerel, a white leghorn name Jasper who I'm sure is one handsome fellow now.

My one cochin rooster didn't start crowing till he was a year old, but he does crow. I'm sure individual roosters are different too.

How often do you think he crows? I've read that cochins are slow at maturing. I would love to keep a partridge cochin roo. Maybe we can ask if roos are ok and then say "By the way, have some fresh eggs!"
