I've just noticed that my two molting hens have pale combs and face. Is this part of the whole molting thing?

Pale combs are just from not laying, whether they are molting or not.Thank you, I know they don't lay while molting it was just I didn't really pay attention to them being pale while molting so I figured either it's the molting or they're sick. but thank you all again.
there feed is all flock, I'm pretty sure that's higher protein idk. I also give them these mealworms that have the fat in them for extra protein. (they don't get them everyday )When my birds are molting, I usually give them higher protein feed. Their feathers are mostly made of protein.
