My Pekins are finally in a regular routine it seems as far as laying eggs. Ever since I adopted out a few males and left 2 females and just 1 male, they seem much happier and are actually laying in the house I made them in a little nest they made from straw. So I got 2 eggs today and I washed them with warm water and dish soap and now they are in the refrigerator. Is that satisfactory for cleaning? They weren't that dirty really since I think the hens lay them then leave. Also, they were outside for a couple hours before I found them, but they weren't warm when I picked them up so I think they'd be alright correct? Thanks for any info.
