I don't want to stop them from free ranging but I do have a couple that live nearby. Also about 1 mile away live a pair of Bald Eagles but they seem to stay near a large lake.

Ohhh most definately.....will swoop them right up whole!!! and take em away!!!!
Do a search on here about red-tails......you'll get some very interesting info...

Be REALLY careful and if you don't already have a wire mesh cover on your run.. get one quick!!!

(We have Cooper's and Red Tails around here.. no free-ranging for my girls!!)

we have redtailed hawks here I love to watch them fly, they circle overhead here but my chicks are safe with metal roof overhead and chainlink walls, so I say check 'em out all you want but you're not getting one for dinner.
