Are silkie rooster's worth eating?

Short answer: Yes!

Longer answer: Yes, but how good they taste depends on how old they are. If they are still only a few months old, they should be ok.

Silkies are generally made into soups, and are very popular in certain Oriental cuisine. You could Google 'eating silkie chickens' to get some ideas.

I suppose you could...there isn't a whole lot of meat on them. If I am going to take the time to raise, butcher and prepare them there better be something substantial to eat. I liken eating a silkie to eating wings.....too much work for very little meat.

Thanks a heap! Imma give em a try lol. They have been runnin in the coop for awhile so do I need to put them in a small cage for a few days before I eat them?
