Are you looking for big chickens or chickens with "Giant" in the breed name??? Standard Cochins and Brahmas can get pretty big as can some Orpingtons, Plymouth Rocks, Australorps, New Hampshires, and Rhode Islands. I wouldn't expect typical hatchery birds to get terribly large though. Cornish crosses can get pretty big as far as weight goes but are only meant to live short lives. There are no other breeds that I am aware of that have "Giant" in the breed name.

Looking for a breed that gets as big or similarly big to a Jersey Giant.

My English Orpingtons are pretty giant. You'll be hard pressed to find birds much bigger. [IMG]

They're not just fluff either, my girls are heavy- there is some serious meat underneath all those feathers.

Well it depend on were you are going to get the birds from.
If you buying them from a hatchery, I wouldn't consider and breed from a hatchery "Giant".

    OK,
I will let you know that if you are going to go the hatchery route most any of the "Large Fowl" are going to be around the same size.
I have a few hatchery Jersey "Giants" and Brahmas and my exhibition Rhode Island Reds tower over them.
If you wand Big chickens you are going to have to go with a breeder.
