Here is a picture of one of my 3 geese. They are about 5 to 6 weeks old. I ordered them as brown. After reading another thread about a mix up on breed there, along with seeing pictures, I am now a little doubtful as to what they are. I ordered brown Africans. Is that what I got, or not?

Looks like African to me. The neck is shorter and thick.

Yup, they're Africans, Brown Chinese have longer, thinner necks.

Okay, I was just making sure. Just hated the thought of telling everyone all this time they were one thing when they are something else. [IMG]

Quote:edit: i guess they do so the only way to judge them is to look at their neck if its thinner and longer its chinese.

    That's definitely not a Chinese.

The Chinese geese are rather slender with very long slender necks. They have an upright body posture. They aren't called swan geese for nothing. They are quite swan-like in appearance (except much more slender than a real swan).
