Are these all male blue scaled ?

    when i had a female, it was smaller than the male @18 months.
    to me in the 3rd picture it looks like a female and the last picture the one to the left.
    i am not that sure. yet
    and how old are yours?

    They are roughly 2 months old.

    oh, mine are 18 months and you could see a difference between the 2

    alright some better info:
    the females have darker gray throat streaks.
    shorter buffier crest
    darker ear spots

    the males have a buffier throat
    longer white spots
    lighter ear spots

    Are you able to put up some pictures for comparison? When I first read this thread, I became puzzled as I googled scaled quail pictures. Wow are they tough to sex. I wonder what's tougher, sexing scaled quail or mountain quail?

    i looked forever[​IMG] but i could not find the website i was on earlier that day. it is quite hard for me too to tell without a reference pic
