I have 3 "Ameracaunas" at my house. I have believed they were for years, but now I'm becoming doubtful. Two of them lay round, pale blue eggs. The third one lays very long, dark green eggs. I haven't been able to figure out what color they are, either. Here are some pictures:

Those are only the first two - I don't have any of the third hen uploaded to Photobucket. So: are these Ameracaunas/Americanas, or are they Easter Eggers/EEs?

They do appear to be Easter Eggers. Ameraucana come in standard color varieties. These do not meet those requirements. The one with the blue beard is really pretty.

They are EEs, which is just as great ; EEs were used to actually create the Ameraucana breed, so it's not as if EEs are at all "lesser" chickens...they are simply wonderful and you're lucky to have such pretty hens. Your blue-bearded hen is gorgeous!
