Are these baby chickens male/female?

Hi there, just wondering if anyone can tell whether these baby chickens are male or female. The bigger one seems like a male and the smaller one a female. The small one is a langshan and the larger one is a cross between a langshan and this brown chicken wehave

The big one is definitely a cockreal he's got a red comb and wattles started. I've never seen a chick so young with wattles.

UPDATE!
Well after 3 months, and 2 weeks later.. we finally know what they are! a chicken and a rooster!.. he's been roosting for about a month so far.. trying to copy his dad's roost. The female is nearly as big as her mother now and the rooster has cool colours of black and orange. Here are a few pics..
