Hi, i recently bought two Muscovy ducklings that should be just under two months old. I was told that they are “powder blue” but I have never heard of powder blue before. Is powder blue a thing? Or are they just regular blue or maybe silver?

I’m thinking blue and lavender! Powder blue isn’t a thing, of anything, I’m pretty sure that’s considered lavenderHi, i recently bought two Muscovy ducklings that should be just under two months old. Thank youLooks like a blue and silver to me. It is possible it lavender but there is not much of a good way to tell the difference.

Thank you, I’ll have to wait until we move to the country to find out for sure then lol, I am at duck capacity.Lavender is pretty rare, so I would personally think it is more likely a silver. Only way you can know for sure is to cross it to a black and see what you get.
Thank you, yeah that’s probably what they meant. Whatever color they actually are, they are super prettyThere are light blue and dark blue when it comes to shades of blue in Muscovies. Powder blue I am assuming is just what the lady used to describe the color she was seeing. A true lavender as a duckling will be a solid light gray with not even a hint of brown or buff. Silver as a duckling will be light gray with tones of chocolate or buff throughout.
